Virtualizor team has released the latest version of WHMCS module this week with the support for Configurable Options and full GUI rewrite for client panel. The admins can set the configurable options for their Virtualizor product in WHMCS so they don’t need to create individual products with different specifications and users can customize the order before the purchase.

If you are running on WHMCS Module v3, we recommend you to upgrade to WHMCS Module v4. Changelog and installations instructions can be found here.

After upgrading to new module, please follow further to add the configurable options for following categories :

• Number of IPs
• Space
• RAM
• Bandwidth
• CPU Cores
• Network Speed
• CPU Percent

Step 1 > Go to “Setup” > “Product/Services” > “Configurable Options“.

Step 2 > On the Configurable Option Group Page, Click on “Create a New Group”

Step 3 > Set the fields Group Name, Description and Assign one Product.

Step 4 > After saving, on the same page, click on “Add New Configurable Option” and a new window will popup.

Step 5 > In the Configurable option Window, add an Option Name and select any one Option Type. You can set the different values which you want to show to your clients on order page. Admins can also set the pricing details for each configurable option, so upon product customization by clients, the order price is also set accordingly.

Step 6 > Likewise step 5, add other options also. You can get the foll list of option in our documentation. A full list of Configurable options can be seen in below image.

NOTE : The order of preference for selection of Configurable Options is first i.e. If a Product/Service has (lets say) Ram defined as 512 MB and you have also created a Configurable Option with variable Ram options, then the users chosen Ram value from configurable options will be used and not the ram value in Product/Service.

2) [Feature] Rescue Mode option added for Endusers. Now users can enable Rescue mode for their VPS from WHMCS client panel.

3) [Feature] VPS configuration Option added in WHMCS client panel. Now from the WHMCS client panel, users can set the ISO, Boot Order and other VPS configurations options as well.

4) [Feature] Refreshed GUI for WHMCS clients.

Existing Admins can update the module by replacing the existing module with the latest one. Download the latest module from here.

The Virtualizor Team has released Virtualizor 2.3.8
This version has many feature additions and some major bug fixes.

Below is a list of changes:

1) [Feature] – Backup rotation added for SSH Backup.

2) [Feature] – “Virtio” and “NIC type” options added in Plans.

3) [Feature] – Added Reverse DNS in Enduser Panel. Now Endusers can set the Reverse DNS for their domains.

4) [Feature] – Added an option to reset Virtualizor admin API keys.

5) [Feature] – Virtualizor SSH Terminal replaced with a better SSH terminal to avoid Java errors in the previous one.

6) [Feature] – Servers were not editable while editing the IP Pool. This has now been added.

7) [Bug Fix] – Orphaned IPs (i.e. IP with no IP Pools) were displayed while adding or editing the VPS on all servers even if they were not assigned to that server. This is fixed now.

8) [Bug Fix] – In XEN, if the CPU% and CPU Units are set 0, the VPS were not started. This is fixed now.

9) [Bug Fix] – Improved DHCP functionality and added DHCP support for multiple IP Pools.

10) [Bug Fix] – Windows templates were not created if the Host node is CentOS 6. This is fixed now.

11) [Bug Fix] – A suspended VPS used to get unsuspended when the main node was restarted. This is fixed now.

12) [Bug Fix] – While slaving and un-slaving, Backup Servers were duplicated in the database. This is fixed now.

Virtualizor supports OpenVZ, Xen and Linux-KVM on CentOS and Ubuntu and they all can be managed from the Master. We are adding more features and if you have any suggestions, do let us know. We hope you enjoy this version of Virtualizor.

This article will guide you through different ways of migration options available in Virtualizor.

• Virtualizor GUI Migration Tool
• Creating a Template
• Manual Migration from LVM level

NOTE : Before starting the migration process from any method above, it is recommended to close all your work and clean shut down your VPS. The first and third methods are not for OpenVZ Servers.

Lets start in detail.

• Virtualizor GUI Migration Tool

Virtualizor GUI Migration allows you to seamlessly migrate VPS from one server to another server without any manual intervention. Migration process transfers all your VPS data including configuration and user data. This Migration tool does not performs operation on block level, that is why this is the most preferable method from the list.

NOTE : While performing the migration process through GUI migration tool, please do not restart any services or do not shutdown the main server. This may result in half migration or your data may become unrecoverable. To be in safer side, it is always recommended read the notes displayed in Migration page before performing the operation.

• Creating a Template

This is also one of the safe option available in Virtualizor and also works well when you need to backup any VPS. Create Template option in Virtualizor Admin Panel creates the OS template of the current VPS, which you can later on transfer to the another Virtualizor Server and create a VPS with that OS template.

• Manual Migration from LVM level

NOTE : This method is for advanced administrators and NOT recommended by us. Please contact Virtualizor Support before choosing this method for migration. In this method you can manually migrate the VPS configuration and LV block to the destination server.

Step 1: Create a VPS of the same configuration in the destination server.
Step 2: Transfer the VM config file through SCP.
Step 3: Extract the LV from the source server through “DD” tool and get a zip file.
Step 4: Transfer that zip file into destination server and extract the zip into the new LV. (You will get the new LV when you perform the first step.)
Step 5: Restart your VPS.
