Customizing the Theme

New UI

  • Make a new folder with the theme name you desire at the following path:
/usr/local/virtualizor/enduser/themes/

e.g. /usr/local/virtualizor/enduser/themes/mytheme

  • Copy the following files and folders from the default themes directory to the Custom theme directory.:
    • index.html
    • theme_settings.php
    • css2 (dir)
    • js2 (dir)
    • images (dir)
    • fonts (dir)
    • admin (dir)
    • js (dir)
    • css (dir)
    • novnc (dir)
  • The admin folder is optional and if you don’t copy the admin folder the default theme folder will be used for the admin UI.
  • Modify the files in the new folder according to your preference.
  • Change the theme from Virtualizor Admin Panel -> Configuration -> Master Settings
  • That’s it, you’re done.

Old UI

  • Make a new folder with the theme name you desire at the following path:
/usr/local/virtualizor/enduser/themes/

e.g. /usr/local/virtualizor/enduser/themes/mytheme

  • Copy the file theme_settings.php from default themes directory to the Custom theme directory.
  • Copy the JavaScripts, CSS and images folder from default themes directory to the Custom theme directory and then modify them accordingly.
  • Copy the PHP files which you wish to customize from the default theme folder to the Custom theme folder you just created.

Note : Please copy only the files that you want to modify, to the Custom theme directory. If the file is not available in the Custom theme directory it will be taken from the default theme in Virtualizor.

This will minimize the changes required from your side when we launch a new version.

  • Modify the files in the new folder according to your preference.
  • Change the theme from Virtualizor Admin Panel -> Configuration -> Master Settings
  • That’s it, you’re done.
